Spring motivation

Spring is the best time to return to an active lifestyle. The days are getting longer and the sun comes out more often from behind the clouds. Nature wakes up to life, and with it, we have greater desire to spend time outdoors.

What are the advantages of outdoor activities?

Physical activity itself brings many benefits, e.g. it strengthens the immune system, has a positive effect on the heart and circulatory system, reduces the risk of developing hypertension, strengthens muscles, and improves the correct body posture.

Being outdoors has a positive effect on the immune system. Walks, regardless of the weather, affect the hardening of the body. It has been proven that the amount of serotonin and happiness hormones in the body depends on the amount of oxygen inhaled. Exposure to fresh air makes us relaxed, which is mainly influenced by the stimulation of the cardiovascular system. Being outdoors has been proven to normalize high blood pressure and improve other parameters related to the cardiovascular system. The ability to rest is improved, and looking at the green gives the mind a rest. The urban environment overstimulates the brain and can lead to higher levels of stress. Sunlight is the main source of vitamin D, which prevents many diseases and is essential in the body - in the spring we can replace its supplementation with sunlight.

Lots of positives, right?

Everyone should find a physical activity suitable for themselves, not force themselves to run "because my friend runs, but I don't really like it". Below are some ideas for spending free time outdoors that you may like. Some trivial, but perhaps forgotten over the winter...

Spring walks - the simplest activity that we do every day, i.e. walking. A walk with children, with a dog, in the forest or in the park - doesn't that sound relaxing? Experts advise walking for at least 30 minutes every day, especially if you're not doing any sport. Let's find a moment every day to take care of ourselves and go for a walk, regardless of the weather outside the window.

Running - a great way to start your adventure with sport. You don't have to run long distances, but even a short 20-30 minute running training 2-3 times a week can improve your condition and well-being.

Nordic walking - it is a faster walk, with the difference that while marching, we push ourselves off the ground with the help of special sticks. During a traditional walk, we engage about 70% of muscles, and with Nordic walking as much as 90%. Thanks to Nordic walking, you will oxygenate your body, gain better condition and efficiency, as well as strengthen your muscles and increase their strength. It is also a great way to spend time with friends.

Cycling trips - no plans for the weekend? Take your family or friends on a bike! A good plan to spend time together, relax, improve your fitness, explore the area and much more...

Weekend trips around Poland - our country has many beautiful places worth seeing. In the area, you will surely find some historic castle ruins, a national park, a lake, etc.. In spring, it is not so hot yet, so traveling by car is not so tiring and sightseeing is much more pleasant.

Give yourself a spring break from a sedentary lifestyle. Squeeze out of spring as much as you can - regardless of the weather!
